Piergiacomi Sud was founded in 1979 as one of the world’s first manufacturers of specific hand tools for the electronics industry. Before that, with the advent of electronics, forged tools began to be imported from Scandinavia, Germany and Switzerland, but these tools were too heavy and not suitable for more delicate processes. For this reason, in 1979, the founders Enrico Carini and his brother Ermanno, who were already involved in running the family business established by their grandfather Ubaldo Piergiacomi back in 1923, decided to build lighter, smaller and less expensive tools, specifically conceived and designed for the work involved in electronics. Since then the range, exported to more than 50 countries, has evolved and specialised so much that now it includes 400 different specific tools for every possible job in the field of electronic assembly.

Today Piergiacomi Sud is a fast, flexible and dynamic company with a strong technological character. Thanks to constant and substantial investment in
process automation, mostly conceived and carried out in-house, it has managed to keep production entirely in Italy, thus ensuring high quality standards for its products. The opening up to the market and focus on the varied needs of customers from all over the world has made the continuous development of new products possible which, year after year, are added to our catalogue which has now reached more than 400 items for the electronic sector and other fields too.
